- Small Business Innovation Research
EPA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) is the small program with a big mission—to protect human health and the environment. EPA is calling for small businesses to apply for Phase I awards up to $100,000 to develop and commercialize innovative environmental technologies in the following topic areas: air and climate, integrated cookstove-heating-electricity generation for small homes, manufacturing, toxic chemicals, water, building materials, and homeland security.Read more about the SBIR funding opportunities here.
- Partnering for Planetary Health
EPA joined partners Aclima and Google Earth Outreach about at the recent GreenBiz VERGE Conference for a panel discussion to share how they are working together to usher in the next generation of air pollution monitoring: visualizing city-scale pollution at the street level, in real time. - EPA Scientist Interviewed by Springer Journal
EPA Senior Scientist Rajender Varma is an Editorial Board Member of the green chemistry journal Sustainable Chemical Processes. He was recently interviewed by the journal and they discussed green chemistry, his research, and his experiences as a Board Member.Read Rajender’s interview here.
- Building Bridges: Environmental Justice
EPA researchers work to provide data and scientific tools to advance environmental justice—ensuring that every community enjoys the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards and has equal access to the decision-making processes it takes to have a healthy environment.
